QA Automation Analyst

The Role 

Ascender is a leading payroll and HCM (Human Capital Management) systems and service provider in the APJ region. We are growing within our sector and planning future growth as we integrate into the global Ceridian organisation. 

This role performs software testing using automated testing tools and uses new tools as necessary to support product development to ensure software changes meet standards and correctly address functional requirements. Essentially, they will be responsible for Ascender PeoplePay all testing activities assigned and ensure clear documentation of all testing activities.  



  • Perform various manual testing to ensure that system is good for release
  • Evaluate automation testing tools and recommend new tools as necessary
  • Develop and implement automated testing strategies
  • Develop and maintain test automation frameworks 
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts
  • Execute test scripts and verify results 
  • Provide mentoring and training on test automation tools and frameworks to other testers in Ascender 
  • Record and report defects
  • Support Developers to ensure software changes meet standards and correctly address functional requirements 
  • Review and analyse system change requirements to ensure meets needs and identify areas of concern
  • Able to work independently with development team, system analysts to clarify requirement, design and develop test documents such as test plan, test cases and test sign off.


 About You: 

To succeed in this role, you must have strong desire to learn and it is best if you have software automation test experience. Ideally you will have experience in using tools such as Selenium, Katalon, etc. You have demonstrated knowledge of software development and testing methodologies with software quality assurance essential. Furthermore, you must have experience implementing automated testing strategies, structures and frameworks essential Payroll or Human Resources industry experience desirable.
