Position Overview 

Reporting directly to the Professional Services Team Leader, Business Consultant is responsible for managing any assigned Workcloud implementation projects and adhoc consulting as required. Utilising the Ascender Implementation Methodology as well as your knowledge and experience in HR, Payroll, and T&A, you will play a key role in managing the customer and Workcloud resources to meet established implementation milestones and targeted completion dates. 

Position Responsibilities 

  • Onboard small to large clients onto Workcloud's payroll/T&A platform function and prepare such clients for our payroll outsourcing group 
  • Undertake analysis of client business requirements and prepare functional design specifications detailing proposed solutions 
  • Complete configuration of the Workcloud platform to meet client requirements 
  • Prepare test plans and conduct parallel payroll testing of the Workcloud platform solution to ensure the correctness of system configuration 
  • Manage/monitor a transition to Managed Services and promptly respond to any inquiries to ensure a seamless service handover 
  • Communicate with customers in a timely and professional manner including management and escalation of client issues as appropriate 
  • Develop and/or assist with production of scoping requirements and documentation where applicable and where requested 
  • Deliver Workcloud training to clients as required 
  • Assist Team Leader as required for special projects, and other team members

Qualifications & Experience 

  • More than 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a track record of successful delivery of timely and accurate client-facing consulting services 
  • Sound knowledge of HR/Personnel, Payroll and Leave practices, procedures, operations, and local legislation, with hands-on experience using or configuring payroll and/or HRIS systems 
  • Understanding of system integrations and transformation of business rules is desirable 
  • Experience with cloud-based HRIS systems preferred (training will be provided) 
  • Good computer skills, including MS Office suite
