Permanent Payroll

The Role:

Due to business growth, we are seeking experienced and dynamic Payroll Officers to join our outsourced team, working on one of our leading Ascender payroll products.   

We are recruiting several full time and one part time payroll officer (0.5 FTE) to support a new client, with a planned start date of March 2020 onwards.   Contract and permanent opportunities available. 

Our outsourced environment provides opportunities to deliver payroll services to multiple clients with a team-based approach, offering diversity and learning opportunities that cannot be found in in-house payroll roles. 

These are ideal opportunities for experienced payroll officers looking to broaden their exposure and skillset.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and timely payroll services including end-to-end payroll processing, end of month payroll balancing & reporting, end of year payroll balancing and Single Touch Payroll reconciliation and lodgement.
  • Complete customer requests such as terminations, adjustments and classifications changes.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, log requests and assist with customer enquiries.
  • Maintain personnel data and customer support databases to ensure systems reflect current information.
  • Attend team meetings and provide feedback and input on operational issues.
  • Provide assistance to other Payroll Officers and Payroll teams.

Skills & Experience

  • End-to-end payroll processing experience in high volume environment.
  • Experience with enterprise payroll systems.  Ascender Pay experience preferred but system training will be provided.
  • Track record of successful delivery of timely and accurate Payroll services.
  • Excellent customer service – previous experience working in an outsourcing environment highly regarded but not required.
  • Strong analytical skills and intermediate Excel skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
