The Role

The HRIS Analyst, APJ will act as a HRIS specialist across multiple systems providing day-to-day user support and troubleshooting of system issues in production. In addition, you will act as the liaison between multi-functional business teams and be responsible for translating sophisticated business needs into effective design recommendations, system/data analysis, instituting design in system, and leading or participating in testing and deployment activities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion and serve as the subject matter expert for HRIS helping to drive long term strategic direction, design requirements, features, functionality and progressive enhancements on the Ceridian HRIS platforms.
  • Troubleshoot, provide solutions and implement fixes to configuration, file feed and system issues.
  • Provide needed support for implementations, integrations, upgrades and modifications.
  • Identify opportunities for automation or efficiency improvements via business process enhancements, integrations, policy changes and other innovative solutions.
  • Write, maintain, and support variety of queries utilizing HRIS reporting tools.
  • Execute, identify, work together with, and lead organizational business partners (e.g., Human Resources, Finance, and Payroll) to meticulously define and document technical and functional requirements.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and vendors to document system requirements for integrations and implementation.
  • Assess how systems or business applications meet the usability criteria of an end user or customer, and partner with stakeholders and subject-matter specialists from various teams such as HR, Payroll, Operations and others to address and provide solutions to business needs
  • Assist with execution of system changes (updates, integrations, new configurations) and participate in all aspects of system testing;
  • Develop standard reports for all HR compliance reporting to include but not limited to headcount. reporting, EEO reporting along with any other compliance reporting.
  • Provide senior leadership with monthly and quarterly dashboard which includes turn over, attrition, trend, headcounts, DEI matrix, and employee relation.
  • Foster positive relationships with customers and stakeholders within the business and maximize the value of those relationships to drive cross-functional operations;


  • Extensive years of experience in an information system or HRIS organization, required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Human Resources Management, Business Management, or related degree field from an accredited college or university required; graduate degree a plus;
  • Experience in HCM experience a plus; experience in process and technical and/or design documentation required
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must have advanced skills in the following areas: SQL, Crystal reports, Access, Word, Excel, HRIS systems.
  • Strong customer service, problem solving, project management and communication skills required.
  • Strong analytical ability with demonstrated knowledge of industry recognized reporting software and spreadsheet usage; synthesize large amounts of data and translate into meaningful information; use analysis to drive change.
  • Exceptional diligence and attention to detail. Must be detail oriented, with the ability to handle multiple simultaneous assignments promptly and effectively.
  • Strong level of personal organization and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work calmly in a fast-paced team environment. Motivate, self-driven and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
